Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

I had a great experience with this repair shop. They kept me updated every step of the way and always called me before doing any work on my vehicle, which I really appreciated. They were honest, explained everything clearly, and did everything they could to help me while keeping costs reasonable. They also offer a warranty on their work, which a lot of repair shops don’t do, and that gave me extra peace of mind. It’s hard to find a shop you can trust, and I definitely recommend them to anyone needing repairs. Thank you for the excellent service!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent service from start to finish! The team was professional, honest, and completed my oil change quickly and efficiently. It's great to find a shop that truly cares about its customers. What makes it even more special is knowing that part of what I paid helps support Fox Auto Services Academy, giving young people the opportunity to learn valuable automotive skills and build a better future. Supporting a business that gives back to the community makes the experience even more meaningful. Highly recommend Fox Auto Services for both their outstanding service and their commitment to changing lives!

I will always go here for car troubles. Honest, fast, and decently priced. Never had issues with them getting the work done timely and efficiently — even got a whole engine replacement in just a couple days.

I can’t say enough great things about Autotech Clinic in Dearborn! We had our 2004 Mustang towed here. They took the car in right away and Jason immediately called and started helping us. Jason was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. He kept me updated every step of the way, explained everything clearly, and made sure I always knew what was going on with the car and the pricing. It’s rare to find a shop that’s this honest, responsive, and professional. If you’re looking for a trustworthy mechanic shop with EXCELLENT customer service, I highly recommend Autotech Clinic. Thanks again to Jason and the team for making a stressful situation so much easier!

Took my 2016 Cadillac here for a 2nd opinion and yes it did need a engine but the quality of there work surprised me very good effort after the installation everything is great and also when I first got my car 3 years ago the transmission had a rough shift and other shops told me it was normal but I had a gut feeling but the previous engine still ran good until it developed a misfire due to losing compression in cylinder 1 transmission is also shifting like butter after the engine was replaced I will be coming back for repairs on my Honda
